Testimonials

What People are Saying

  • “I LOVED the conference last year. In fact, because of the conference it launched me. When I came to Tastemaker I had less than 4,000 sessions a month and had been stuck in that for a long time. Thirty days after the conference, I applied for Mediavine, and have been growing since! Yeah me! I'm super excited to come back to Tastemaker!”

    - Rebecca Johnston,
    Devour Dinner

  • Tastemaker Conference was unforgettable and incredibly valuable. I got to meet a bunch of fellow bloggers that I am friends with on social media—I got to actually meet them in person!—and they understand the challenges and wins of being a food blogger and being in the industry.

  • Krissy Clark - Eating with Krissy

Eating with Krissy was created originally to promote restaurants and eateries in the DC Metro area, primarily black owned. Since 2018, I’ve captured my foodie escapades via my Instagram & Facebook pages. Whether in DC or on travel, I focused on catching great angles of delicious foods and highlighting the gems (and the never-heard-ofs) of the city and beyond. Capturing great eats is my passion – I’m obsessed with eating out! Having been in the food services industry since I was 15, my passion lies between great food and fellowship with friends and family and I never miss an opportunity to connect the two.

But then, COVID hit…and our lives changed right before our eyes. I’ve always loved to cook but since I work with food, holidays and special events were my jam but I’d gotten away from cooking on a daily basis. Eating out was a way of life until the restaurants were all closed to quarantine from the virus. As I found myself having more time at home, I fell back in love with cooking for myself, my mother, my friends and my family. And as time had it, my kitchen became my place of refuge – a place where I could get away from my thoughts, focus on something new and exciting and provide a smile on faces that were trying to make sense of what was happening in the world. Life is mysterious…and every time we think we have all the answers, the Universe shifts and pushes us to new heights, forcing us out of our comfort zones. I’m appreciative for the shift…and you’ll find that my kitchen is my personality – inviting, fun, ubiquitous. And I’m excited to share my kitchen with you.

He also believes bacon should be its own food group.

  • Barbara Hobart - HomePlates

In 2018, Barbara's personal passion for cooking and entertaining led her to become an inadvertent food blogger and she launched Instant PotLuck along with a line of products for the home chef and Instant Pot lover. Her book "Eat This, You'll Die!" will be coming out soon -- based on her mother, Bernice's recipes. If you want to hear the backstory of how all of this began, watch Barbara tell it here.

In 2019, Barbara launched Best Ever Backdrops, a line of 100% waterproof, lightweight, and stain-resistant backdrops for photographers, bloggers, and stylists because she was tired of watching her photographer friends lift ridiculously heavy backdrops that could earn them gold medals in weightlifting.
