Chef Evelyn Williams is a Culinary Consultant who is on a mission to help women live, cook, and work on their own terms! Through her career, Evelyn has worked as a personal chef, caterer, cooking school manager, culinary instructor, executive chef, pastry chef, food blogger, and brand ambassador. She has assisted various celebrity chefs such as Oprah’s private chef Art Smith, Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook, and Food Network’s Guy Fieri. Evelyn has also cooked for Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow, Food Network’s Giada DeLaurentis, author & pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts, and NYT best-selling author, producer, and mega-church pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes.

Evelyn is a cookbook author, host of the Eat Out at Home podcast, and creator of several web-based video series. She currently spends her time conducting online cooking classes and workshops, and consults with corporate professionals who are transitioning into culinary entrepreneurship through her Chef’s Table Academy Consulting Program. Karen is a retired Chiropractor who has been blogging since 2008 on various topics like eco-
friendly living, DIY for non-toxic formulas, and health food. She co-founded a green blogger
network to connect bloggers and brands for content marketing. Unfortunately, she had to
close the company in 2016 when her children were diagnosed with food related multiple
health challenges, and they needed her attention. She rebranded her blog to share her

Where and when is the event?

Our 2020 conference has been converted to an online virtual conference due to Covid-19 safety precautions. It will be held virtually on September 24-25, 2020.

Tastemaker Conference 2021 will be held on Thursday, September 2 and Friday, September 3, 2021, with an additional option for an exclusive excursion on Saturday, September 4. It will be at 501 Union and The Green Building in Brooklyn, NY.

What is the return policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, however they are transferable up to 30 days before the event.

What does a general admission ticket include?

Your 2020 virtual ticket includes access to our two-day online conference. You will attend virtual sessions led by top leaders in the industry. There will be 10+ classes that focus on the topics of SEO and tech, content creation, business building and marketing, and inclusion and diversity training. You will also have virtual access to select brands, products, and giveaways!

Your 2021 general admission ticket includes entrance to our two-day conference. You will get the choice of attending up to eight different workshops and classes, access to panels led by food influencer experts, a swag bag worth over $200, and access to our sponsor exhibitor hall, where you will make connections with brands who want to work with YOU. There will also be breakfast, lunch, and snacks served both days.

Will there be allergy-free foods available?

Of course! We will be providing amazing gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan food options, as well as any other accommodations requested.

Where do I stay?

Our 2021 hotel room block is at Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Brooklyn, just 4 blocks away from the venue. Limited rooms available, click here to book at a discounted rate. Please keep in mind that room rates are more expensive this year due to the NYC location. We also recommend VRBO or Airbnb.

Is there parking available?

Street parking is available in the neighborhood but VERY limited (it is NYC). We also recommend walking, ride sharing, taxi, or public transportation to get to the venue.

Meet The Team

Abbey Rodriguez

Abbey Rodriguez is the founder of Tastemaker Conference, and The Butter Half, a food blog that combines gluten-free recipes, herbal cooking, and holistic nutrition and wellness education for the whole family. After three years of growing her community online, she was inspired to create a real-life community where other creators could come together. Tastemaker Conference was born in 2017 out of this mission to empower bloggers and influencers to build sustainable businesses and relationships through food. 

Abbey has worked with dozens of brands and organizations, providing recipe development, food photography, and influencer marketing consulting. She has also been published in The Huffington Post, eHow, and Shape Magazine, to name a few. A graduate of the Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine, Abbey is a certified herbalist and holistic nutritionist, and is the coauthor of a forthcoming cookbook on herbal wellness with Jennifer Kurdyla

Abbey resides in the D.C. metropolitan area, with her husband and three boys.

Chandice Probst

Chandice Probst is the bubbly personality behind This Vivacious Life. She is a food and entertaining blogger and the co-author of Gluten-Free on a Budget. Chandice’s work has been featured in print and online industry publications, most notably Mingle Magazine, Women’s World, and Kara’s Party Ideas. As someone with celiac disease and a degree in health science, she has led the charge in hosting celiac awareness nights with MLB and NBA teams around the nation raising money for research. Leslie Jackson is the Operations Manager at Tastemaker Conference. With over 5 years experience in planning and organizing dozens of community, corporate and influencer events.  In 2018, she successfully managed a campaign for a seat in the Utah House of Representatives. She’s happily married to her husband of 10 years and a mom to three. During her free time she enjoys cooking and experimenting with new flavors in the kitchen.

Madi is the Social Media Manager for Tastemaker Conference. She’s a social media maven and loves to build brands up through a great social media presence. 

Madi attendee Utah Valley University and got her Bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. During college she interned on a local morning show, Good Things Utah. After college she decided to take a different career path than what she originally planned and was a clerk in the Juvenile Court. She loved seeing how the justice system can help troubled youth and children in need.
