Chef Evelyn Williams is a Culinary Consultant who is on a mission to help women live, cook, and work on their own terms! Through her career, Evelyn has worked as a personal chef, caterer, cooking school manager, culinary instructor, executive chef, pastry chef, food blogger, and brand ambassador. She has assisted various celebrity chefs such as Oprah’s private chef Art Smith, Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook, and Food Network’s Guy Fieri. Evelyn has also cooked for Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow, Food Network’s Giada DeLaurentis, author & pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts, and NYT best-selling author, producer, and mega-church pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes.

Evelyn is a cookbook author, host of the Eat Out at Home podcast, and creator of several web-based video series. She currently spends her time conducting online cooking classes and workshops, and consults with corporate professionals who are transitioning into culinary entrepreneurship through her Chef’s Table Academy Consulting Program. Chef Evelyn is a graduate of the International Culinary Schools at the Art Institute of Dallas, where she graduated with honors in Baking & Pastry as well as Culinary Arts. Megan Porta is the content creator behind the decade-old food blog Pip and Ebby. Nichole Aksamit

Nichole Aksamit (AX-uh-mitt) is the editor in chief of Allrecipes magazine. She has been
with Allrecipes since the magazine launched in 2013, serving as senior editor and
executive editor before taking the helm in February. Prior to that, she developed and
edited cookbooks for Southern Living and other brands at Time Inc.’s Oxmoor House
book division in Birmingham, Alabama, and worked as a newspaper reporter for more
than a decade, including four years as the restaurant critic and food writer
for The Omaha World-Herald. 

A native of Minnesota and a lifelong cook, Nichole grew up on a farm in west-central
Minnesota, earned a dual degree in English and Mass Communications from Minnesota
State University Moorhead, and studied and taught culinary arts at the Institute for the
Culinary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska.

These days, she lives in Des Moines, Iowa, where she has been working remotely from
home since last March, along with her husband and their precocious cats, Lucy and Joey.
She loves rhubarb more than most and cheese more than a person probably ought
to. 

Nichole also serves as president of the Greater Des Moines chapter of Les Dames
d’Escoffier International (LDEI)—a nonprofit that uplifts women in the food, beverage,
and hospitality industries and supports sustainable food systems and nutritious food for

When and where is the event?

Since 2020, we have successfully converted our conferences to online virtual conferences due to Covid-19 safety precautions.

Our next in-person event is on Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4, 2022 in Chicago, with an additional option for an exclusive excursion on Saturday, March 5, as well as access to The Inspired Home Show on March 5-8, 2022. It will be at Revel Motor Row in Chicago, IL. Limited tickets are now available until they sell out.

What is the return policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, however they are transferable up to 30 days before the event.

What does a general admission ticket include?

Your Tastemaker Conference 2022 ticket includes full General Admission access to our two-day conference, Media Registration to The Inspired Home Show, and a complimentary ticket to September Virtual Tastemaker Conference 2021! (Yes, we know it’s good, too!)

,There are 25+ classes, keynotes, and panels that focus on the topics of SEO + tech, revenue growth, content creation, business building and marketing, and more. You will get the choice of attending up to eight different breakout workshops and classes, digital replays to all classes, access to panels led by food influencer experts, a swag bag worth over $150, and access to our sponsor exhibitor hall, where you will make connections with brands who want to work with YOU. There will also be breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages served both days.

Will there be allergy-free foods available?

Of course! We will be providing amazing gluten-free, nut-free, and vegan food options, as well as any other accommodations requested.

Where do I stay?

We will have a hotel room block available to purchase a room at a special rate. The room block will be available August 2021.

Is there parking available?

There are parking garages in the area. However, we recommend walking, ride sharing, taxi, or public transportation to get to the venue.

When do tickets go on sale?

Early Bird tickets for Tastemaker Conference 2022 are sold out.

Abbey Rodriguez is the founder of Tastemaker Conference, and The Butter Half, a food blog that combines gluten-free recipes, herbal cooking, and holistic nutrition and wellness education for the whole family. After three years of growing her community online, she was inspired to create a real-life community where other creators could come together. Tastemaker Conference was born in 2017 out of this mission to empower bloggers and influencers to build sustainable businesses and relationships through food.

Chandice Probst is the bubbly personality behind This Vivacious Life. She is a food and entertaining blogger and the co-author of Gluten-Free on a Budget.
