  • Sponsorship Sales Manager

    Tastemaker Conference is looking to add a Sponsorship Sales Manager to their growing team who would be responsible for securing sponsors for in-person and virtual conferences as well as workshops. The ideal candidate would be personable, reliable, enthusiastic, and ideally familiar with sponsorship sales and digital or influencer marketing. If you also thrive on selling, have a positive attitude, work well independently, and enjoy collaborating as part of a friendly team, we want to hear from you.

    Ongoing Responsibilities

    • Sell a variety of sponsorship packages for an in-person conference, a virtual conference, and several workshops annually.

    • Ensure the sponsorship deck is up-to-date with currently sold and available sponsorship packages daily/weekly as needed.

    • Manage the end-to-end sales process and track leads in Asana.

    • Generate leads by identifying food, tech and housewares brands as potential sponsors.

    • Reach out to unqualified leads.

    • Meet with qualified leads to share the vision of and opportunity of connecting with influencers at Tastemaker Conference.

    • Build and maintain relationships with past, current, and future sponsors.

    • Notify appropriate team members to send invoices and contracts.

    • Manage pipeline and track weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.

    • Strategize sales plan, identify opportunities, and suggest growth areas.

    • Serve as point-of-contact for sponsors on-site at the in-person conference in Chicago the first week of March annually.

    • Ensure all sponsorship packages are delivered accurately.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 2 to 3 years of experience in sales, ideally selling sponsorship packages.

    • Background in digital marketing and/or influencer marketing would be a plus.

    • Have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

    • Interested in being involved in the food blogging and content creator space.

    • Knowledgeable about the sales pipeline process.

    • Familiar with Asana and GSuite.

    • Others describe you as enthusiastic, innovative, and reliable.

    • Have 10 to 15 hours a week available.

    • Available to conduct sales calls during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

    • Based in the United States.

    • Rate: $25 to $30 per hour plus 5% commission (typically $200 to $2,000 in commissions per sale)
