  • Why this workshop? Have you thought about working with a business coach but weren’t sure if it was the right fit? Are you struggling to determine where to focus your time with your blogging business amidst all the different things clamoring for your attention? This small and intimate retreat for food creators is a business coaching opportunity, compressed into a few days, with like-minded folks who understand what you do. In addition to concrete help determining your business goals for the year ahead and what may be holding you back from them, you’ll also have the added benefit of building deep connections with others in the same world who can become part of your circle and mastermind moving forward.

    Come expecting some time to rejuvenate and reinvigorate your excitement around blogging and content creation, as well as help determine where to focus your time and energy with your business moving forward.

    Who is it for? Whether you’ve been blogging for a few months or decades, it can be hard to feel like you are working in a silo. If you are looking for clarification on where to spend time and energy in your business, or looking to form deep connections with others in the community who  GET IT, this is the retreat for you!

    There are only 8 spots available! 

    When and where is it? May 18-21, 2023. This is an actual working event where you’ll accomplish big things! It’ll take place at the Lost River Barn in West Virginia. The venue is located at Lost River Barn 9580 Howards Lick Rd. Mathias, WV 26812.

  • Who will be speaking

    • Rachel Gainer (she/her) – Rachel Gainer is an Executive Life Coach who helps emerging and established entrepreneurs pursue their dreams and passions while also creating time to enjoy the slow moments of everyday life. She specializes in helping clients understand and overcome fear by rewiring the inner critic into a powerful inner ally. Rachel also helps clients let go of external expectations and follow their intuition to create lives and businesses that feel more authentic and aligned with their values and goals. Rachel works with creators and business leaders in a variety of industries, with a majority working in the food creation space. Rachel is a writer, speaker, and host of the Life Rebuilt podcast. She is also an adoptive mother of four-plus-an-angel, who loves audio books, paddle boarding, and cheesecake. You can learn more about Rachel at rachelrebuilt.com.
    • Anne Mauney (she/her) – Anne is the owner of fANNEtastic food, a healthy lifestyle and recipe blog that she started back in 2009 with the goal to show others that eating healthy could actually be delicious! Anne has spoken at a number of blogging, social media, and nutrition workshops and conferences on the topics of making money as a blogger and building a personal brand and successful online business. In addition to blogging for over a decade, Anne is a Registered Dietitian with a Masters of Public Health in Nutrition, and her recipes and nutrition tips have been featured in dozens of online and national publications. Anne lives in the Washington, DC metro area with her husband and two children.

    Dogs

    • There is a dog on site. If you have allergies or phobias, please take note.

    Travel

    • Flights are not included
    • It is easiest to fly into Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Virginia. Then plan to meet at our Tastemaker Conference Co-Working Space in Middleburg, VA. We will then transport everyone to the location! You can rent a car and meet us there, but a rideshare service won’t drive out to the location. It is a 2-hour drive.
    • We will drop you at the airport on the last day. You will want to plan a flight for no earlier than 2 PM ET.

    Sleeping arrangements

    This is first come first serve the day of, however, we can try to accommodate those who have specific requests. Here is the gallery.

    • Upstairs bedroom 1 has 2 full beds
    • Upstairs loft room 1 has 2 full beds
    • Upstairs loft main room has 1 queen
    • Upstairs loft room 2 has 4 bunks (the 2 bottoms are full)

    ADA

    This venue unfortunately is not completely ADA compliant and has stairs. However, we will try to accommodate transportation as much as necessary. Please contact us if you have questions.
